Last Friday, September 25th, Gap at Towson hosted their bi-annual denim in-store fashion show. It was an ordinarily busy day, with customers walking in and out of the store, some unaware of what magic was about to happen. Then 7PM struck and the Gap at Towson became a runway scene with loud music and large crowds snapping pictures and videos on their phones. The event was a huge hit. Family, friends, and shoppers crowded around as the models walked through the store dressed in the Fall Denim Collection. The Gap at Towson promoted their newest denims and provided a 30% discount on any full-priced denim. I’ve never seen a fashion show in a store, but the Gap at Towson did it with ease and enthusiasm.
The Gap at Towson featured both women’s and men’s looks. The models were from the Modelz of Distinction, a student run modeling team based in Towson University, led by the president Jasmine Green. Kelly Bey-Borden, CEO of Flawless Faces Make-Up Artistry, showcased her lipstick line of a variety of colors.

The men’s looks were mostly defined by neutral colors. I am most excited about the transition to layering. Gap at Towson showcased their navy vest and predominantly olive-colored jackets, some of which are now on my shopping list. The Fall selections focused on the lightweight outerwear on top of neutral-colored sweatshirts, and beige chinos or dark-colored denim to complete the outfit.
It was a pleasure to cover the show. It was definitely a new experience and a change of scene from the normal runway shows. Make sure to check out the Gap at Towson and follow them on their Instagram here for future events!
